Wynwood Shop is honored to present Olinda Silvano for Miami Art Week. A unique art form that preserves the Amazonian culture and its influence in today’s world. For the Shipibo people, Kene Art stands as a symbol of identity, resistance and sustainability. More than just decoration her art embodies deep worldview, drawing inspiration from nature and incorporating medicinal plants for healing. On her journey and that of the Shipibo art there is always a commitment to sustainibility and therefore using environmentally friendly practices that honor her connection to nature. In recognition to her work she was awarded in 2022 the National Award for Women Artisans in the Leading Artisan category and Meritorious Cultural Personality in 2018 by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture.
