Every Sunday in March, the Wynwood Business Improvement District will close a block of NW 3rd Avenue between NW 26th and 27th Streets to cars, transforming it into Wynwood Street Park from 9am to 3pm. The free, low-key community hangout will feature shade tents, tables, chairs and oversized lawn games, with occasional live music or artists, while encouraging guests to bring their own blankets, books or games. The five-week pilot, supported by the Miami Parking Authority and Goldman Properties, will test whether a recurring car-free public space could become a permanent neighborhood fixture.
