Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Fila’s passion for art began in childhood, sketching relentlessly. While attending Design and Architecture Senior High (DASH), he was introduced to urban culture and street art, themes that would heavily influence his future work. He later earned a B.F.A. from Columbus College of Art and Design, one of the nation’s most respected private art institutions.

Fila’s early career saw him freelancing as an illustrator, while simultaneously exploring his own artistic vision through street art. His breakthrough came with Erin, a 13-foot nude mural in the Miami Design District that sparked public controversy when it was partially buffed by an anonymous passerby.
