KITSUNE JOLENE

Kitsune Jolene (Jolien De Waele, 1992) is a self-taught muralist based in Ghent, Belgium. With a background in art history, she left university to pursue her passion for painting murals. Originally drawn to spray paint, she has since embraced mixed media, combining brushes and other techniques to refine her style.

Her work primarily features emotive, dreamlike portraits in a vibrant and recognizable palette. Deeply inspired by mythology, folklore, and local flora, she weaves storytelling elements into her murals, creating pieces that resonate with the communities they inhabit. Passionate about site-specific art, she strives to make each mural a meaningful reflection of its surroundings.
