Whitney Thier

BID Board Member

Whitney Thier is the President of More Development, an international real estate and hospitality development company.  She brings three decades of leadership across those sectors, with a career that has woven through Las Vegas, Miami, Europe and The Bahamas. At More, she has spent the past ten years guiding core areas such as land acquisition, corporate strategy, finance, operations, and legal, while partnering closely with teams to shape the company’s growth and its diverse portfolio of projects.

Her professional roots are in fast-moving, early-stage ventures, and she’s built a reputation for helping young companies mature into stable, thriving businesses. Before joining More, Whitney served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Baha Mar, the $3.5 billion resort development in Nassau, and previously held senior roles at CG Technologies, Fontainebleau Resorts, and Mandalay Resort Group. Her career began in mergers and acquisitions at Lazard Frères, followed by work in private legal practice.

Across industries and borders, Whitney has played a key role in expanding major hospitality and gaming operations and supporting their evolution into more technologically advanced enterprises. She has also worked closely with government partners and regulators throughout her career. Whitney is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Tulane Law School.
