
Jihan Soliman
City Attorney
Jihonal Soliman is an experienced attorney with a strong background in municipal law and public service. She currently serves in the Land Use and Government Division of the Office of the City Attorney, which she rejoined in March 2019. In this role, she provides comprehensive legal counsel on land use, platting, public works, and resilience matters. Her previous assignments have included serving as legal counsel to the Wynwood Business Improvement District and the City’s Housing and Commercial Loan Committee. She has also acted as the City’s Public Records Coordinator.
Throughout her career, Ms. Soliman has earned recognition for her contributions to the legal field. She was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2018 and 2019 and was selected as a Florida Legal Elite “Up and Comer” in 2018. In 2017, she was recognized as a Florida Legal Elite in Government and Municipal Law.
In addition to her legal work, Ms. Soliman is dedicated to civic engagement and mentorship. She is a certified Volunteer Guardian Ad Litem and has volunteered with the Miami-Dade County Teen Court Program. A fellow of The Florida Bar’s Leadership Academy (Class IV), she also serves on the Board of Directors of the Dade County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and sits on the Florida Bar’s Committee for Diversity and Inclusion.
Ms. Soliman earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 2012, and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University in 2009.
