Each month, we spotlight a few members of the Wynwood business community to share their unique story and concept. In this profile, the owners of MIMO Market share a behind-the-scenes look into their contemporary clothing and accessories boutique.

Tell us a bit about your business – the concept, what you sell and what makes you unique.

MIMO Market is a boutique that is home to eclectic, contemporary, clothing and accessories for women and men. We aren’t just about setting the trends. Each piece you find from MIMO Market is hand picked and curated with our customer in mind. Each of our designers have a unique story, passion, and vibe. We focus on personal style and carry pieces that inspire people to be who they are.

Why did you choose to open your business in Wynwood, as opposed to another Miami neighborhood?

Before Wynwood became Miami’s center for arts and culture, we used to visit the few galleries and bars that were open at that time and truly loved the authenticity and grit of the neighborhood. We wanted to be part of the neighborhood’s contagious energy and its growing business community.

What does a typical day at MIMO Market look like?

We open our doors at 11am everyday. First thing we work on is social media. We start the day putting together a cool outfit to feature on our social media pages, and make sure our followers know the latest arrivals that are in store. Next, we freshen up our sales floor with any of the latest merchandise to make sure it looks its best for our customers. You can also find us working on our window displays to create something fun and special to capture visitor’s attention.

We recently launched our online store and work every day to update it with the latest fashions that we have in store.

What’s your favorite Wynwood spot to visit?

Panther Coffee is our go-to when we need our caffeine kick. When hunger strikes, we’re big fans of KYU and 1-800-Lucky for some tasty authentic Asian cuisine.
