Manny Gonzalez

BID Executive Director

Manny Gonzalez is executive director of the Wynwood Business Improvement District (BID), responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the agency that represents more than 400 property owners in Miami’s burgeoning Wynwood Arts District. He is tasked with working with BID members and local government officials to continually improve the security and cleanliness of the neighborhood, promoting Wynwood as a destination, and helping plan for its long-term future. Gonzalez brings a combination of leadership experience and municipal government knowledge to his new post.

Prior to joining the Wynwood BID, he spent eight years at the Coconut Grove BID, serving as its executive director from 2012 to 2017 and as projects coordinator for the organization before that. During his tenure at the helm of the Coconut Grove BID, Gonzalez helped bring trolley service to the neighborhood, coordinated neighborhood-wide streetscape projects with the City of Miami and created a Zika Emergency Plan for the Grove. He also forged strong relationships with City of Miami officials– from police to sanitation to the members of the City Commission.

A native Miamian, Gonzalez graduated from Florida International University with a degree in Criminal Justice.
